About me ....I began potting at university in 1975 and have made pots ever since. I taught ceramics at evening classes for many years and ran clay workshops in schools for ten years.
I supplied several local National Trust properties with a range of stoneware ceramics for a number of years in the 1990's.
I have exhibited with many different groups of artists and independently in solo shows. I love the challenge of creating work on different themes.
My inspiration has always been oriental ceramics and I have a great love for Sung and Tang ceramics as well as Korean celadons and all types of Japanese ware. When I started making I was introduced to the work of Shoji Hamada and his work has remained a fundamental inspiration to me throughout my potting life.
I have reached a point in my life now where I only make what I love and I hope this shows in my work because I want my customers to be able to enjoy my passion for clay as much as I do.
